TL DR: In my experience, wired input is best and is what I'll be sticking with (pardon the pun). If they made a wired version of this controller, I would probably use it over the GCN, however after the lag and connection issues, I'll be going back to the good old stand-by.once my adapter arrives. Resyncing the controller helps clear up most issues, and it'll work well for a bit, but they'll start up again at some point. That much lag is killer, and missed/stuttering inputs are unacceptable on a game like this. Sometimes it's as bad as 0.5 seconds, and sometimes inputs don't even make it to the console. When it's working well, it's not too noticeable, but I can tell it's there (maybe a few frames? it's not a lot). I know some say that they don't have it with the pro controller I wish mine was like that.
Fucking input lag is killing me with this thing. Love having 4 shoulder buttons that are digital only, as you don't need analog for shielding in the new games. It's very ergonomic and fits well in my hands. I prefer the button layout of the pro to the GCN once I broke 15 years of muscle memory, and having the second stick up higher makes it easier for stick tilting imo. I've been using the pro controller for the last few weeks in the meantime while waiting for the GCN adapter and I do like it.
